Solomon Dedicates the Temple

8:62 The king and all Israel with him were presenting sacrifices to the Lord. 8:63 Solomon offered as peace offerings ¹  to the Lord 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep. Then the king and all the Israelites dedicated the Lord’s temple.

1 Kings 12:27

12:27 If these people go up to offer sacrifices in the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem, ²  their loyalty could shift to their former master, ³  King Rehoboam of Judah. They might kill me and return to King Rehoboam of Judah.”
