8:66 On the fifteenth day after the festival started, 1  he dismissed the people. They asked God to empower the king 2  and then went to their homes, happy and content 3  because of all the good the Lord had done for his servant David and his people Israel.

8:2 All the men of Israel assembled before King Solomon during the festival 4  in the month Ethanim 5  (the seventh month).

[7:10]  6 tn Heb “stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits” (it is unclear exactly what dimension is being measured). If both numbers refer to the length of the stones (cf. NCV, CEV, NLT), then perhaps stones of two different sizes were used in some alternating pattern.
