[9:3]  1 tn Heb “I have heard.”

[9:3]  2 tn Heb “by placing my name there perpetually” (or perhaps, “forever”).

[9:3]  3 tn Heb “and my eyes and my heart will be there all the days.”

[9:2]  4 sn In the same way he had appeared to him at Gibeon. See 1 Kgs 3:5.

[7:16]  5 tn Heb “two capitals he made to place on the tops of the pillars, cast in bronze; five cubits was the height of the first capital, and five cubits was the height of the second capital.”

[87:3]  6 tn Heb “glorious things are spoken about you.” The translation assumes this is a general reference to compliments paid to Zion by those who live within her walls and by those who live in the surrounding areas and lands. Another option is that this refers to a prophetic oracle about the city’s glorious future. In this case one could translate, “wonderful things are announced concerning you.”

[132:13]  7 tn Or “for.”

[132:13]  8 tn Heb “he desired it for his dwelling place.”

[132:14]  9 tn The words “he said” are added in the translation to clarify that what follows are the Lord’s words.

[132:14]  10 tn Heb “for I desired it.”
