1 Kings 9:3

9:3 The Lord said to him, “I have answered ¹  your prayer and your request for help that you made to me. I have consecrated this temple you built by making it my permanent home; ²  I will be constantly present there. ³ 

1 Kings 12:7

12:7 They said to him, “Today if you show a willingness to help these people and grant their request, they will be your servants from this time forward.” ⁴

[9:3]  ² tn Heb “by placing my name there perpetually” (or perhaps, “forever”).

[9:3]  ³ tn Heb “and my eyes and my heart will be there all the days.”

[12:7]  ⁴ tn Heb “If today you are a servant to these people and you serve them and answer them and speak to them good words, they will be your servants all the days.”
