9:7 then I will remove Israel from the land ¹  I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, ²  and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed ³  among all the nations.

1 Kings 14:15

14:15 The Lord will attack Israel, making it like a reed that sways in the water. ⁴  He will remove Israel from this good land he gave to their ancestors ⁵  and scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, ⁶  because they angered the Lord by making Asherah poles. ⁷

Elijah Meets the King’s Servant

18:1 Some time later, in the third year of the famine, the Lord told Elijah, ⁸  “Go, make an appearance before Ahab, so I may send rain on the surface of the ground.”
