[17:48]  1 tc Most LXX mss lack the second half of v. 48.

[9:14]  2 tn Heb “to meet them.” This may indicate purpose on Samuel’s part. The next sentence indicates that the meeting was by design, not just an accident.

[13:10]  3 tn Heb “to bless him.”

[17:2]  4 tn Heb “the men of Israel” (so KJV, NASB); NAB, NIV, NRSV “the Israelites.”

[17:2]  5 tn Heb “to meet.”

[25:32]  5 tn Heb “blessed” (also in vv. 33, 39).
