The Lord Judges the House of Eli

2:27 A man of God came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Did I not plainly ¹  reveal myself to your ancestor’s ²  house when they were in Egypt in the house of Pharaoh?

1 Samuel 9:20

9:20 Don’t be concerned ³  about the donkeys that you lost three days ago, for they have been found. Whom does all Israel desire? Is it not you, and all your father’s family?” ⁴

[22:22]  ⁵ tc The translation follows the LXX, which reads “I am guilty,” rather than the MT, which has “I have turned.”
