1 Samuel 26:19
Context26:19 So let my lord the king now listen to the words of his servant. If the Lord has incited you against me, may he take delight in 6 an offering. But if men have instigated this, 7 may they be cursed before the Lord! For they have driven me away this day from being united with the Lord’s inheritance, saying, ‘Go on, serve other gods!’

[2:29] 1 tc The MT has a plural “you” here, but the LXX and a Qumran
[2:29] 2 tn Heb “which I commanded, dwelling place.” The noun is functioning as an adverbial accusative in relation to the verb. Since God’s dwelling place/sanctuary is in view, the pronoun “my” is supplied in the translation.
[2:17] 3 tc Heb “the men,” which is absent from one medieval Hebrew
[10:27] 5 tn Heb “sons of worthlessness” (see 2:12).
[10:27] 6 tc In place of the MT (“and it was like one being silent”) the LXX has “after about a month,” taking the expression with the first part of the following chapter rather than with 10:27. Some Hebrew support for this reading appears in the corrected hand of a Qumran
[26:19] 7 tn Heb “may he smell.” The implication is that Saul should seek to appease God, for such divine instigation to evil would a sign of God’s disfavor. For a fuller discussion of this passage see R. B. Chisholm, Jr., “Does God Deceive?” BSac 155 (1998): 19-21.
