24:3 He came to the sheepfolds by the road, where there was a cave. Saul went into it to relieve himself. ¹ 

Now David and his men were sitting in the recesses of the cave.

1 Samuel 26:3

26:3 Saul camped by the road on the hill of Hakilah near Jeshimon, but David was staying in the desert. When he realized that Saul had come to the desert to find ²  him,
