[9:20]  1 tn Heb “do not fix your heart.”

[9:20]  2 tn Heb “and all the house of your father.”

[30:12]  3 tn Heb “his spirit returned to him.”

[20:19]  5 tc Heb “you will do [something] a third time.” The translation assumes an emendation of the verb from שִׁלַּשְׁתָּ (shillashta, “to do a third time”) to שִׁלִּישִׁית (shillishit, “[on the] third [day]”).

[20:19]  6 tn Heb “you must go down greatly.” See Judg 19:11 for the same idiom.

[20:19]  7 tn Heb “on the day of the deed.” This probably refers to the incident recorded in 19:2.

[21:5]  7 tn Heb “servants’.”

[30:1]  9 tn The Hebrew text adds “with fire.”
