1 Timothy 6:2

6:2 But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect ¹⁰  because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. ¹¹

[4:6]  ² sn By pointing out…you have followed. This verse gives a theme statement for what follows in the chapter about Timothy’s ministry. The situation in Ephesus requires him to be a good servant of Christ, and he will do that by sound teaching and by living an exemplary life himself.

[6:2]  ¹ tn Or “think the less of them”; Grk “despise them,” “look down on them.”
