Context1:14 Solomon accumulated 1 chariots and horses. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses. He kept them in assigned cities and in Jerusalem. 2

Context3:16 He made ornamental chains 3 and put them on top of the pillars. He also made one hundred pomegranate-shaped ornaments and arranged them within the chains.
2 Chronicles 20:24
Context20:24 When the men of Judah 4 arrived at the observation post overlooking the desert and looked at 5 the huge army, they saw dead bodies on the ground; there were no survivors!
[1:14] 2 tn Heb “he placed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.”
[3:16] 3 tn The Hebrew text adds here, “in the inner sanctuary,” but the description at this point is of the pillars, not the inner sanctuary.
[20:24] 5 tn Heb “Judah.” The words “the men of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” by metonymy for the men of Judah.
