2 Chronicles 1:9

1:9 Now, Lord God, may your promise ¹  to my father David be realized, ²  for you have made me king over a great nation as numerous as the dust of the earth.

2 Chronicles 18:30

18:30 Now the king of Syria had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight common soldiers or high ranking officers; ³  fight only the king of Israel!”

2 Chronicles 28:10-11

28:10 And now you are planning ⁴  to enslave ⁵  the people ⁶  of Judah and Jerusalem. Yet are you not also guilty before the Lord your God? 28:11 Now listen to me! Send back those you have seized from your brothers, for the Lord is very angry at you!” ⁷ 

2 Chronicles 29:10-11

29:10 Now I intend ⁸  to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his raging anger. ⁹  29:11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to serve in his presence and offer sacrifices.” ¹⁰

[18:30]  ³ tn Heb “small or great.”

[28:10]  ⁵ tn Heb “saying.”

[28:10]  ⁶ tn Heb “to enslave as male servants and female servants.”

[28:10]  ⁷ tn Heb “sons.”

[28:11]  ⁷ tn Heb “for the rage of the anger of the Lord is upon you.”

[29:10]  ⁹ tn Heb “now it is with my heart.”

[29:10]  ¹⁰ tn Heb “so that the rage of his anger might turn from us.” The jussive with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding statement of intention.

[29:11]  ¹¹ tn Heb “to stand before him to serve him and to be his servants and sacrificers.”
