2 Chronicles 11:23

11:23 He wisely placed some of his many sons throughout the regions of Judah and Benjamin in the various fortified cities. ¹  He supplied them with abundant provisions and acquired many wives for them. ² 

2 Chronicles 26:6

26:6 Uzziah attacked ³  the Philistines and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh, and Ashdod. He built cities in the region of Ashdod and throughout Philistine territory. ⁴ 

2 Chronicles 25:23

25:23 King Joash of Israel captured King Amaziah of Judah, son of Joash son of Jehoahaz, in Beth Shemesh and brought him to Jerusalem. He broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate – a distance of about six hundred feet. ⁵

[11:23]  ² tn “and he asked for a multitude of wives.”

[26:6]  ³ tn Heb “went out and fought.”

[26:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “in Ashdod and among the Philistines.”

[25:23]  ⁵ tn Heb “400 cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the distance would have been about 600 feet (180 m).
