2 Chronicles 11:5-10

Rehoboam’s Reign

11:5 Rehoboam lived in Jerusalem; 1  he built up these fortified cities throughout Judah: 11:6 Bethlehem, 2  Etam, Tekoa, 11:7 Beth Zur, Soco, Adullam, 11:8 Gath, Mareshah, Ziph, 11:9 Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah, 11:10 Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron. These were the fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.

2 Chronicles 14:7

Context
14:7 He said to the people of Judah: 3  “Let’s build these cities and fortify them with walls, towers, and barred gates. 4  The land remains ours because we have followed 5  the Lord our God and he has made us secure on all sides.” 6  So they built the cities 7  and prospered.

2 Chronicles 26:9-10

Context

26:9 Uzziah built and fortified towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, Valley Gate, and at the Angle. 8  26:10 He built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns, for he owned many herds in the lowlands 9  and on the plain. He had workers in the fields and vineyards in the hills and in Carmel, 10  for he loved agriculture. 11
