[2:11]  ¹ tn Heb “Huram” (also in v. 12). Some medieval Hebrew mss, along with the LXX, Syriac, and Vulgate spell the name “Hiram,” agreeing with 1 Chr 14:1. “Huram” is a variant spelling referring to the same individual.

[7:13]  ² tn Or “if.”

[7:13]  ³ tn Or “heavens.” The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.

[7:13]  ⁴ tn Heb “the land,” which stands here by metonymy for the vegetation growing in it.

[25:17]  ³ tn The words “with his advisers” are supplied in the translation for clarification.

[25:17]  ⁴ tn Heb “let us look at each other [in the] face.” The expression refers here not to a visit but to meeting in battle. See v. 21.

[25:27]  ⁴ tn Heb “and they conspired against him [with] a conspiracy in Jerusalem.”
