[2:14]  1 tn Heb “a son of a woman from the daughters of Dan, and his father a man of Tyre.”

[12:13]  2 tn Heb “and the king, Rehoboam, strengthened himself in Jerusalem and ruled.”

[12:13]  3 tn Heb “Rehoboam.” The recurrence of the proper name here is redundant in terms of contemporary English style, so the pronoun has been used in the translation instead.

[12:13]  4 tn Heb “the city where the Lord chose to place his name from all the tribes of Israel.”

[12:13]  5 tn Heb “his”; the referent has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[18:7]  3 tn Heb “to seek the Lord from him.”

[18:7]  4 tn Or “hate.”

[18:7]  5 tn Heb “all his days.”

[18:7]  6 tn The words “his name is” are supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.
