[2:16]  1 tn Heb “and we will cut down trees from Lebanon according to all your need.”

[2:16]  2 tn Heb “to you,” but this phrase has not been translated for stylistic reasons – it is somewhat redundant.

[2:16]  3 tn Or “on rafts.” See the note at 1 Kgs 5:9.

[6:30]  4 tn The words “their sin” are not in the Hebrew text, but are supplied for clarification.

[6:30]  5 tn Heb “and act and give to each one according to all his ways because you know his heart.” In the Hebrew text vv. 28-30a actually contain one lengthy conditional sentence, which the translation has divided up for stylistic reasons.

[6:30]  6 tn Heb “Indeed you know, you alone, the heart of all the sons of mankind.”

[23:8]  7 tn Heb “all Judah.” The words “the men of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” by metonymy for the men of Judah.
