2:3 Solomon sent a message to King Huram ¹  of Tyre: ²  “Help me ³  as you did my father David, when you sent him cedar logs ⁴  for the construction of his palace. ⁵

18:21 He replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’ The Lord ⁶  said, ‘Deceive and overpower him. ⁷  Go out and do as you have proposed.’

2 Chronicles 25:15

25:15 The Lord was angry at Amaziah and sent a prophet to him, who said, “Why are you following ⁸  these gods ⁹  that could not deliver their own people from your power?” ¹⁰

These verbs could be translated as specific futures, “you will deceive and also you will prevail,” in which case the Lord is assuring the spirit of success on his mission. However, in a commissioning context (note the following imperatives) such as this, it is more likely that the imperfects are injunctive, in which case one could translate, “Deceive, and also overpower.”
