10:14 and followed the advice of the younger ones. He said, “My father imposed heavy demands on you; 7  I will make them even heavier. 8  My father punished you with ordinary whips; I will punish you with whips that really sting your flesh.” 9

[2:3]  1 tn Heb “Huram.” Some medieval Hebrew mss, along with the LXX, Syriac, and Vulgate spell the name “Hiram,” agreeing with 1 Chr 14:1. “Huram” is a variant spelling referring to the same individual.
