2 Chronicles 2:4

2:4 Look, I am ready to build a temple to honor ¹  the Lord my God and to dedicate it to him in order to burn fragrant incense before him, to set out the bread that is regularly displayed, ²  and to offer burnt sacrifices each morning and evening, and on Sabbaths, new moon festivals, and at other times appointed by the Lord our God. This is something Israel must do on a permanent basis. ³ 

2 Chronicles 4:6

4:6 He made ten washing basins; he put five on the south side and five on the north side. In them they rinsed the items used for burnt sacrifices; the priests washed in “The Sea.”

2 Chronicles 9:4

9:4 the food in his banquet hall, ⁴  his servants and attendants ⁵  in their robes, his cupbearers in their robes, and his burnt sacrifices which he presented in the Lord’s temple, ⁶  she was amazed. ⁷ 

2 Chronicles 13:11

13:11 They offer burnt sacrifices to the Lord every morning and every evening, along with fragrant incense. They arrange the Bread of the Presence on a ritually clean table and light the lamps on the gold lampstand every evening. Certainly ⁸  we are observing the Lord our God’s regulations, but you have rejected him.

2 Chronicles 23:18

23:18 Jehoiada then assigned the duties of the Lord’s temple to the priests, the Levites whom David had assigned to the Lord’s temple. They were responsible for offering burnt sacrifices to the Lord with joy and music, according to ⁹  the law of Moses and the edict of David.

2 Chronicles 24:14

24:14 When they were finished, they brought the rest of the silver to the king and Jehoiada. They used it to make items for the Lord’s temple, including items used in the temple service and for burnt sacrifices, pans, and various other gold and silver items. Throughout Jehoiada’s lifetime, burnt sacrifices were offered regularly in the Lord’s temple.

2 Chronicles 29:18

29:18 They went to King Hezekiah and said: “We have purified the entire temple of the Lord, including the altar of burnt sacrifice and all its equipment, and the table for the Bread of the Presence and all its equipment.

2 Chronicles 29:31

29:31 Hezekiah said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves ¹⁰  to the Lord. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings ¹¹  to the Lord’s temple.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and whoever desired to do so ¹²  brought burnt sacrifices.

2 Chronicles 29:34

29:34 But there were not enough priests to skin all the animals, ¹³  so their brothers, the Levites, helped them until the work was finished and the priests could consecrate themselves. (The Levites had been more conscientious about consecrating themselves than the priests.) ¹⁴

The People Contribute to the Temple

31:2 Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and Levites to do their assigned tasks ¹⁵  – to offer burnt sacrifices and present offerings and to serve, give thanks, and offer praise in the gates of the Lord’s sanctuary. ¹⁶

35:14 Afterward they made preparations for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the descendants of Aaron, were offering burnt sacrifices and fat portions until evening. The Levites made preparations for themselves and for the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
