2:7 “Now send me a man who is skilled in working with gold, silver, bronze, and iron, as well as purple, crimson, and violet colored fabrics, and who knows how to engrave. He will work with my skilled craftsmen here in Jerusalem 1  and Judah, whom my father David provided.

The Building of the Temple

3:1 Solomon began building the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem 2  on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David prepared at the threshing floor of Ornan 3  the Jebusite.

2 Chronicles 35:15

Context
35:15 The musicians, the descendants of Asaph, manned their posts, as prescribed by David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s prophet. 4  The guards at the various gates did not need to leave their posts, for their fellow Levites made preparations for them.

35:20 After Josiah had done all this for the temple, 5  King Necho of Egypt marched up to do battle at Carchemish on the Euphrates River. 6  Josiah marched out to oppose him.
