2 Chronicles 23:16

23:16 Jehoiada then drew up a covenant stipulating that he, all the people, and the king should be loyal to the Lord. ¹ 

2 Chronicles 29:10

29:10 Now I intend ²  to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his raging anger. ³ 

[23:16]  ¹ tn Heb “and Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and [between] all the people and [between] the king, to become a people for the Lord.”

[29:10]  ² tn Heb “now it is with my heart.”

[29:10]  ³ tn Heb “so that the rage of his anger might turn from us.” The jussive with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding statement of intention.
