28:11 Now listen to me! Send back those you have seized from your brothers, for the Lord is very angry at you!” ¹

29:10 Now I intend ²  to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his raging anger. ³

30:8 Now, don’t be stubborn ⁴  like your fathers! Submit ⁵  to the Lord and come to his sanctuary which he has permanently consecrated. Serve the Lord your God so that he might relent from his raging anger. ⁶ 

[28:11]  ¹ tn Heb “for the rage of the anger of the Lord is upon you.”

[29:10]  ² tn Heb “now it is with my heart.”

[29:10]  ³ tn Heb “so that the rage of his anger might turn from us.” The jussive with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding statement of intention.

[30:8]  ³ tn Heb “don’t stiffen your neck” (a Hebrew idiom for being stubborn).
