2 Chronicles 29:15-16

Context

29:15 They assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves. Then they went in to purify the Lord’s temple, just as the king had ordered, in accordance with the word 1  of the Lord. 29:16 The priests then entered the Lord’s temple to purify it; they brought out to the courtyard of the Lord’s temple every ceremonially unclean thing they discovered inside. 2  The Levites took them out to the Kidron Valley.

2 Chronicles 34:3

Context

34:3 In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his ancestor 3  David. In his twelfth year he began ridding 4  Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, Asherah poles, idols, and images.

2 Chronicles 34:8

Context

34:8 In the eighteenth year of his reign, he continued his policy of purifying the land and the temple. 5  He sent Shaphan son of Azaliah, Maaseiah the city official, and Joah son of Joahaz the secretary to repair the temple of the Lord his God.
