3:13 The combined wingspan of these cherubim was 30 feet. ¹  They stood upright, facing inward. ²

4:1 He made a bronze altar, 30 feet ³  long, 30 feet ⁴  wide, and 15 feet ⁵  high.

[3:13]  ¹ tn Heb “the wings of these cherubs were spreading twenty cubits.”

[3:13]  ² tn Heb “and they were standing on their feet, with their faces to the house.” An alternative translation of the last clause would be, “with their faces to the main hall.”

[4:1]  ³ tn Heb “twenty cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the length would have been 30 feet (9 m).

[4:1]  ⁴ tn Heb “twenty cubits.”

[4:1]  ⁵ tn Heb “ten cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the height would have been 15 feet (4.5 m).
