Jehoahaz’s Reign

36:1 The people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and made him king in his father’s place in Jerusalem. ¹

However, it is possible that this is a general reference to their sinful practices, in which case one might translate, “angering me by all the things they do.”

[21:12]  ⁶ tn Heb “he”; the referent (Jehoram) has been specified in the translation for clarity and for stylistic reasons.
