2 Chronicles 4:2-3

4:2 He also made the big bronze basin called “The Sea.” 1  It measured 15 feet 2  from rim to rim, was circular in shape, and stood seven and one-half feet 3  high. Its circumference was 45 feet. 4  4:3 Images of bulls were under it all the way around, ten every eighteen inches 5  all the way around. The bulls were in two rows and had been cast with “The Sea.”

2 Chronicles 13:11

13:11 They offer burnt sacrifices to the Lord every morning and every evening, along with fragrant incense. They arrange the Bread of the Presence on a ritually clean table and light the lamps on the gold lampstand every evening. Certainly 6  we are observing the Lord our God’s regulations, but you have rejected him.

14:1 (13:23) 7  Abijah passed away 8  and was buried in the City of David. 9  His son Asa replaced him as king. During his reign 10  the land had rest for ten years.

24:25 When they withdrew, they left Joash 11  badly wounded. His servants plotted against him because of what he had done to 12  the son 13  of Jehoiada the priest. They murdered him on his bed. Thus 14  he died and was buried in the City of David, 15  but not in the tombs of the kings.

2 Chronicles 26:23

26:23 Uzziah passed away 16  and was buried near his ancestors 17  in a cemetery 18  belonging to the kings. (This was because he had a skin disease.) 19  His son Jotham replaced him as king.

2 Chronicles 34:10

34:10 They handed it over to the construction foremen 20  assigned to the Lord’s temple. They in turn paid the temple workers to restore and repair it. 21

[4:2]  2 tn Heb “ten cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the diameter would have been 15 feet (4.5 m).

[4:2]  3 tn Heb “five cubits.” Assuming a cubit of 18 inches (45 cm), the height would have been 7.5 feet (2.25 m).

[4:2]  4 tn Heb “and a measuring line went around it thirty cubits all around.”

[14:1]  13 sn Beginning with 14:1, the verse numbers through 14:15 in the English Bible differ from the verse numbers in the Hebrew text (BHS), with 14:1 ET = 13:23 HT, 14:2 ET = 14:1 HT, 14:3 ET = 14:2 HT, etc., through 14:15 ET = 14:14 HT. Beginning with 15:1 the verse numbers in the ET and HT are again the same.
