Solomon Moves the Ark into the Temple

5:2 Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders – all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families – in Jerusalem, 1  so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the City of David 2  (that is, Zion). 3

Context

11:1 When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he summoned 180,000 skilled warriors from Judah and Benjamin 4  to attack Israel and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.

2 Chronicles 20:26

Context

20:26 On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berachah, where 5  they praised the Lord. So that place is called the Valley of Berachah 6  to this very day.

[20:26]  7 tn Heb “for there.”

[20:26]  8 sn The name Berachah, which means “blessing” in Hebrew, is derived from the verbal root “to praise [or “to bless”],” which appears earlier in the verse.
