Solomon Moves the Ark into the Temple

5:2 Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders – all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families – in Jerusalem, 1  so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the City of David 2  (that is, Zion). 3 

2 Chronicles 7:3

Context
7:3 When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the Lord’s splendor over the temple, they got on their knees with their faces downward toward the pavement. They worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, 4  “Certainly he is good; certainly his loyal love endures!”

2 Chronicles 21:13

21:13 but have instead followed in the footsteps of the kings of Israel. You encouraged the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem to be unfaithful to the Lord, just as the family of Ahab does in Israel. 5  You also killed your brothers, members of your father’s family, 6  who were better than you.

30:6 Messengers 7  delivered the letters from the king and his officials throughout Israel and Judah.

This royal edict read: 8  “O Israelites, return to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so he may return 9  to you who have been spared from the kings of Assyria. 10 

2 Chronicles 31:6

31:6 The Israelites and people of Judah 11  who lived in the cities of Judah also contributed a tenth of their cattle and sheep, as well as a tenth of the holy items consecrated to the Lord their God. They brought them and placed them in many heaps. 12 

2 Chronicles 34:33

Context
34:33 Josiah removed all the detestable idols from all the areas belonging to the Israelites and encouraged 13  all who were in Israel to worship the Lord their God. Throughout the rest of his reign 14  they did not turn aside from following the Lord God of their ancestors.
