2 Chronicles 6:14

6:14 and prayed: ¹  “O Lord God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven or on earth! You maintain covenantal loyalty ²  to your servants who obey you with sincerity. ³ 

2 Chronicles 20:6

20:6 He prayed: “O Lord God of our ancestors, ⁴  you are the God who lives in heaven ⁵  and rules over all the kingdoms of the nations. You possess strength and power; no one can stand against you.

[6:14]  ² tn Heb “one who keeps the covenant and the loyal love.”

[6:14]  ³ tn Heb “who walk before you with all their heart.”

[20:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “fathers” (also in v. 33).

[20:6]  ⁵ tn Heb “are you not God in heaven?” The rhetorical question expects the answer “yes,” resulting in the positive statement “you are the God who lives in heaven” employed in the translation.
