[6:27]  1 tn The present translation understands כִּי (ki) in an emphatic or asseverative sense (“Certainly”). Other translation have “indeed” (NASB), “when” (NRSV), “so” (NEB), or leave the word untranslated (NIV).

[6:27]  2 tn Heb “the good way in which they should walk.”

[6:27]  3 tn Or “for an inheritance.”

[6:38]  4 tn Or “soul.”

[6:38]  5 tn Heb “your name.” The word “name” sometimes refers to one’s reputation or honor (thus the translation here, “your honor).

[20:10]  7 tn Heb “now, look, the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir.”

[20:10]  8 tn Heb “whom you did not allow Israel to enter when they came from the land of Egypt.”
