Josiah Observes the Passover

35:1 Josiah observed a Passover festival for the Lord in Jerusalem. ⁸  They slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.

[23:16]  ⁵ tn Heb “and Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and [between] all the people and [between] the king, to become a people for the Lord.”

[29:10]  ⁶ tn Heb “now it is with my heart.”

[29:10]  ⁷ tn Heb “so that the rage of his anger might turn from us.” The jussive with vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the preceding statement of intention.
