[8:14]  1 tn Heb “he”; the referent (Solomon) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[8:14]  2 tn Heb “and the Levites, according to their posts, to praise and to serve opposite the priests according to the matter of a day in its day.”

[8:14]  3 tn Heb “and the gatekeepers by their divisions for a gate and a gate.”

[8:14]  4 tn Heb “for so [was] the command of David the man of God.”

[2:27]  5 tn Heb “in the way in the way” (בַּדֶּרֶךְ בַּדֶּרֶךְ, baderekh baderekh). The repetition lays great stress on the idea of resolute determination to stick to the path. IBHS 116 §7.2.3c.
