9:15 King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; 600 measures ¹  of hammered gold were used for each shield.

14:8 Asa had an army of 300,000 men from Judah, equipped with large shields and spears. He also had 280,000 men from Benjamin who carried small shields and were adept archers; they were all skilled warriors.

25:5 Amaziah assembled the people of Judah ³  and assigned them by families to the commanders of units of a thousand and the commanders of units of a hundred for all Judah and Benjamin. He counted those twenty years old and up and discovered there were 300,000 young men of fighting age ⁴  equipped with spears and shields. ⁵

[25:5]  ³ tn Heb “Judah.” The words “the people of” are supplied in the translation for clarity. The Hebrew text uses the name “Judah” by metonymy here for the people of Judah.
