[9:20]  1 tn Heb “there was no silver, it was not regarded as anything in the days of Solomon.”

[5:5]  2 tn Heb “the tent of assembly.”

[5:5]  3 tn Heb “and they carried the ark of the Lord…. The priests and the Levites carried them.”

[9:24]  3 tn Heb “and they were bringing each one his gift, items of silver…and mules, the matter of a year in a year.”

[32:27]  4 tc The Hebrew text reads literally, “and shields and all the desirable items.” The present translation assumes an emendation of מָגִנִּים (maginnim, “shields”) to מִגְדָּנִים (migdanim, “precious items”). See v. 23.

[36:10]  6 tn Heb “sent and brought him.”

[36:10]  7 tn Heb “and he made Zedekiah his brother king.” According to the parallel text in 2 Kgs 24:17, Zedekiah was Jehoiachin’s uncle, not his brother. Therefore many interpreters understand אח here in its less specific sense of “relative” (NEB “made his father’s brother Zedekiah king”; NASB “made his kinsman Zedekiah king”; NIV “made Jehoiachin’s uncle, Zedekiah, king”; NRSV “made his brother Zedekiah king”).
