2 Corinthians 8:10-11

8:10 So here is my opinion on this matter: It is to your advantage, since you ¹  made a good start last year both in your giving and your desire to give, 8:11 to finish what you started, ²  so that just as you wanted to do it eagerly, ³  you can also complete it ⁴  according to your means. ⁵ 

2 Corinthians 11:12

11:12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may eliminate any opportunity for those who want a chance to be regarded as our equals ⁶  in the things they boast about.

[8:11]  ² tn Grk “and now also complete the doing.”

[8:11]  ³ tn Grk “just as the eagerness to want [it].”

[8:11]  ⁴ tn Grk “so also it might be completed.” The passive construction was converted to an active one in the translation in keeping with contemporary English style.

[8:11]  ⁵ tn Grk “completed from what you have.”

[11:12]  ³ tn Grk “an opportunity, so that they may be found just like us.”
