15:16 At that time Menahem came from Tirzah and attacked Tiphsah. He struck down all who lived in the city and the surrounding territory, because they would not surrender. ¹  He even ripped open the pregnant women.

2 Kings 19:35

19:35 That very night the Lord’s messenger went out and killed 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp. When they ²  got up early the next morning, there were all the corpses. ³ 

[15:16]  ¹ tn Heb “then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, for it would not open, and he attacked.”

[19:35]  ² tn This refers to the Israelites and/or the rest of the Assyrian army.

[19:35]  ³ tn Heb “look, all of them were dead bodies.”
