2 Kings 17:6

17:6 In the ninth year of Hoshea’s reign, the king of Assyria captured Samaria and deported the people of Israel ¹  to Assyria. He settled them in Halah, along the Habor (the river of Gozan), and in the cities of the Medes.

Matthew 10:5

10:5 Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them as follows: ²  “Do not go to Gentile regions ³  and do not enter any Samaritan town. ⁴

[10:5]  ³ tn Grk “on the road of the Gentiles.” That is, a path that leads to Gentile regions.

[10:5]  ⁴ tn Grk “town [or city] of the Samaritans.”
