[19:18]  1 tn Heb “and they put their gods in the fire.”

[19:18]  2 tn Heb “so they destroyed them.”

[12:11]  3 tn Heb “would give.”

[12:11]  4 tn Heb “doers of the work.”

[22:5]  5 tn Heb “doers of the work.”

[22:5]  6 tn Heb “and let them give it to the doers of the work who are in the house of the Lord to repair the damages to the house.”

[22:17]  7 tn Or “burned incense.”

[22:17]  8 tn Heb “angering me with all the work of their hands.” The translation assumes that this refers to idols they have manufactured (note the preceding reference to “other gods,” as well as 19:18). However, it is possible that this is a general reference to their sinful practices, in which case one might translate, “angering me by all the things they do.”

[22:9]  9 tn Heb “returned the king a word and said.”

[22:9]  10 tn Heb “that was found in the house.”

[12:14]  11 tn Heb “was given.”

[12:15]  13 tn Heb “gave.”

[12:15]  14 tn Heb “and they did not conduct a reckoning of the men who gave the silver into their hand to give to the doers of the work, for in honesty they were working.”

[22:6]  15 tn Heb “and to buy wood and chiseled stone to repair the house.”

[25:12]  17 tn Heb “the captain of the royal guard.” However, the subject is clear from the preceding and contemporary English style would normally avoid repeating the proper name and title.

[25:17]  19 tn Heb “eighteen cubits.” The standard cubit in the OT is assumed by most authorities to be about eighteen inches (45 cm) long.

[25:17]  20 tn Heb “three cubits.” The parallel passage in Jer 52:22 has “five.”

[12:7]  21 tn Heb “Now, do not take silver from your treasurers, because for the damages to the temple you must give it.”
