2:19 The men of the city said to Elisha, “Look, the city has a good location, as our 1  master can see. But the water is bad and the land doesn’t produce crops.” 2

4:41 He said, “Get some flour.” Then he threw it into the pot and said, “Now pour some out for the men so they may eat.” 5  There was no longer anything harmful in the pot.

[19:7]  7 tn Heb “I will put in him a spirit.” The precise sense of רוּחַ (ruakh), “spirit,” is uncertain in this context. It may refer to a spiritual being who will take control of his mind (see 1 Kgs 22:19), or it could refer to a disposition of concern and fear. In either case the Lord’s sovereignty over the king is apparent.
