2:3 Some members of the prophetic guild ¹  in Bethel came out to Elisha and said, “Do you know that today the Lord is going to take your master from you?” ²  He answered, “Yes, I know. Be quiet.”

Elisha Helps a Widow and Her Sons

4:1 Now a wife of one of the prophets ³  appealed ⁴  to Elisha for help, saying, “Your servant, my husband is dead. You know that your servant was a loyal follower of the Lord. ⁵  Now the creditor is coming to take away my two boys to be his servants.”

20:1 In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. ⁹  The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz visited him and told him, “This is what the Lord says, ‘Give your household instructions, for you are about to die; you will not get well.’” ¹⁰
