He bent down over him, and the boy’s skin 4  grew warm. 4:35 Elisha 5  went back and walked around in the house. 6  Then he got up on the bed again 7  and bent down over him. [4:33]  1 tn Heb “and closed the door behind the two of them.”

[4:34]  2 tn Heb “he went up and lay down over.”

[4:34]  3 tn Heb “his” (also in the next two clauses).

[4:34]  4 tn Or perhaps, “body”; Heb “flesh.”

[4:35]  5 tn Heb “he”; the referent (Elisha) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[4:35]  6 tn Heb “and he returned and went into the house, once here and once there.”

[4:35]  7 tn Heb “and he went up.”

[10:10]  8 tn The traditional translation, “he fell into a trance,” is somewhat idiomatic; it is based on the textual variant ἐπέπεσεν (epepesen, “he fell”) found in the Byzantine text but almost certainly not original.
