Elisha Makes a Meal Edible

4:38 Now Elisha went back to Gilgal, while there was famine in the land. Some of the prophets were visiting him ¹  and he told his servant, “Put the big pot on the fire ²  and boil some stew for the prophets.” ³ 

2 Kings 10:4

10:4 They were absolutely terrified ⁴  and said, “Look, two kings could not stop him! ⁵  How can we?” ⁶ 

2 Kings 18:5

18:5 He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; in this regard there was none like him among the kings of Judah either before or after. ⁷

[10:4]  ⁴ tn Heb “they were very, very afraid.” The term מְאֹד (me’od) “very,” is repeated for emphasis.
