Elisha Makes an Ax Head Float

6:1 Some of the prophets ¹  said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you ²  is too cramped ³  for us.

2 Kings 7:3

7:3 Now four men with a skin disease ⁴  were sitting at the entrance of the city gate. They said to one another, “Why are we just sitting here waiting to die? ⁵

10:4 They were absolutely terrified ⁶  and said, “Look, two kings could not stop him! ⁷  How can we?” ⁸

7:9 Then they said to one another, “It’s not right what we’re doing! This is a day to celebrate, but we haven’t told anyone. ⁹  If we wait until dawn, ¹⁰  we’ll be punished. ¹¹  So come on, let’s go and inform the royal palace.”

2 Kings 10:5

10:5 So the palace supervisor, ¹²  the city commissioner, ¹³  the leaders, ¹⁴  and the guardians sent this message to Jehu, “We are your subjects! ¹⁵  Whatever you say, we will do. We will not make anyone king. Do what you consider proper.” ¹⁶ 

2 Kings 10:13

10:13 Jehu encountered ¹⁷  the relatives ¹⁸  of King Ahaziah of Judah. He asked, “Who are you?” They replied, “We are Ahaziah’s relatives. We have come down to see how ¹⁹  the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons are doing.”

18:26 Eliakim son of Hilkiah, Shebna, and Joah said to the chief adviser, “Speak to your servants in Aramaic, ²⁰  for we understand it. Don’t speak with us in the Judahite dialect ²¹  in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”
