6:33 He was still talking to them when ¹  the messenger approached ²  and said, “Look, the Lord is responsible for this disaster! ³  Why should I continue to wait for the Lord to help?”

2 Kings 19:7

19:7 Look, I will take control of his mind; ⁴  he will receive ⁵  a report and return to his own land. I will cut him down ⁶  with a sword in his own land.”’”

2 Kings 20:17

20:17 ‘Look, a time is ⁷  coming when everything in your palace and the things your ancestors have accumulated to this day will be carried away to Babylon; nothing will be left,’ says the Lord.

[19:7]  ⁴ tn Heb “I will put in him a spirit.” The precise sense of רוּחַ (ruakh), “spirit,” is uncertain in this context. It may refer to a spiritual being who will take control of his mind (see 1 Kgs 22:19), or it could refer to a disposition of concern and fear. In either case the Lord’s sovereignty over the king is apparent.
