David is Anointed King

2:1 Afterward David inquired of the Lord, “Should I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” The Lord told him, “Go up.” David asked, “Where should I go?” The Lord replied, ¹  “To Hebron.”

2 Samuel 9:3

9:3 The king asked, “Is there not someone left from Saul’s family, ²  that I may extend God’s kindness to him?” Ziba said to the king, “One of Jonathan’s sons is left; both of his feet are crippled.”

2 Samuel 18:27

18:27 The watchman said, “It appears to me that the first runner is Ahimaaz ³  son of Zadok.” The king said, “He is a good man, and he comes with good news.”
