2:28 Then Joab blew the ram’s horn and all the people stopped in their tracks. ¹  They stopped chasing Israel and ceased fighting. ² 

2 Samuel 6:15

6:15 David and all Israel ³  were bringing up the ark of the Lord, shouting and blowing trumpets. ⁴

[2:28]  ² tn Heb “they no longer chased after Israel and they no longer fought.”

[6:15]  ³ tc Heb “all the house of Israel.” A few medieval Hebrew mss and the Syriac Peshitta lack the words “the house.”

[6:15]  ⁴ tn Heb “the shophar” (the ram’s horn trumpet).
