[3:12] 1 tn The Hebrew text adds here, “on his behalf.”
[3:12] 2 tn Heb “cut a covenant.” So also in vv. 13, 21.
[3:12] 3 tn Heb “and behold, my hand is with you.”
[3:13] 4 tn The words “when you come to see my face,” though found in the Hebrew text, are somewhat redundant given the similar expression in the earlier part of the verse. The words are absent from the Syriac Peshitta.
[3:21] 7 tn After the cohortatives, the prefixed verbal form with the prefixed conjunction indicates purpose or result.
[5:3] 11 tn Heb “and the king, David, cut for them a covenant.”
[15:24] 13 tn Heb “crossing from.”
[23:5] 16 tn Heb “For not thus [is] my house with God?”
[23:5] 17 tn Heb “for all my deliverance and every desire, surely does he not make [it] grow?”
