2 Samuel 3:8

3:8 These words of Ish-bosheth really angered Abner and he said, “Am I the head of a dog that belongs to Judah? This very day I am demonstrating ¹  loyalty to the house of Saul your father and to his relatives ²  and his friends! I have not betrayed you into the hand of David. Yet you have accused me of sinning with this woman today! ³ 

2 Samuel 4:8

4:8 They brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, saying to the king, “Look! The head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who sought your life! The Lord has granted vengeance to my lord the king this day against ⁴  Saul and his descendants!”

2 Samuel 8:10

8:10 he ⁵  sent his son Joram ⁶  to King David to extend his best wishes ⁷  and to pronounce a blessing on him for his victory over Hadadezer, for Toi had been at war with Hadadezer. ⁸  He brought with him various items made of silver, gold, and bronze. ⁹

For your servant Joab gave me instructions. He has put all these words in your servant’s mouth.

2 Samuel 15:2

15:2 Now Absalom used to get up early and stand beside the road that led to the city gate. Whenever anyone came by who had a complaint to bring to the king for arbitration, Absalom would call out to him, “What city are you from?” The person would answer, “I, your servant, ¹¹  am from one of the tribes of Israel.”

2 Samuel 19:7

19:7 So get up now and go out and give some encouragement to ¹²  your servants. For I swear by the Lord that if you don’t go out there, not a single man will stay here with you tonight! This disaster will be worse for you than any disaster that has overtaken you from your youth right to the present time!”
